Friendship is a vital part of everyone’s life. It is a source of love, tenderness, and wisdom. People experience many different types of friendships, and the depth of their friendships varies as well. Although friendship is a choice, true friendship is a divine gift. Friendship is a reciprocal relationship between two or more people who have the same aims, interests, and values.
Most people rely on their friends for support and guidance. Friends help each other succeed in life and build lasting relationships. However, friendship is a difficult concept to define. There have been many different ideas proposed over the centuries as to what true friendship entails. Some say that true friendship is hard to find- and even harder to maintain. Others believe that a true friend will always be there for you- in good times and bad. Understanding what makes a friendship unique can help you maintain healthy friendships in your life.
“Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.”
Muhammad Ali

In the wake of the most devastating event that occurred globally, I made a quick visit home to see how my parents are doing. Despite the short period of time, I still visit some of my high school classmates who have become my closest friends.
Evolving in a place where you were born and raised makes you accumulate a lot of friends. You may have many friends with different personalities and different character traits, but only a few of them will be so dear to you. I have a lot of friends where I grew up. They were grouped according to my interests. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to visit them all due to a tight schedule.
I have friends with whom I spent most of my teenage years. I am with them during the good times and the frustrations as well.
A friend’s smile is the dew that refreshes the heart. When a friend laughs, it is as if the sun has burst through the clouds and brought with it the sweetest rain. A friend is like an alternative to daily life; his company gives us hope and strength to get through our trials.
I have lived in a large city far away from home for a very long time. But every time I go home, I always make time to see my friends. Even if I have made a lot of new friends, the friendship I have had with them is incomparable. We rarely see each other but nothing changes every time I visit them. They are still the same friends I used to hang out with. The only difference is that we have obligations to our own families now.
Whenever you haven’t seen your friends for a long time and then visit them unexpectedly, it is nice to remember the fun and laughter. It’s kind of nostalgic when they reminisce and talk about the old days while you laugh again. The joy and laughter are priceless as you chime in again with them. Unfortunately, we are saddened to realize that two of our friends have already passed away in the middle of our laughter. But we need to move on. It only means that they are never forgotten and will always be in our hearts forever.
